HomeLab Two-Reel Film Developing Tank Kit
Bring the film development process into your own darkroom with the serenoviq™ HomeLab Two-Reel Film Developing Tank Kit. Designed for home analog photography, this practical system combines a light-tight developing tank, a secure lid, and two spiral film reels to help organize your processing workflow.
The tank accommodates up to two compatible 35mm film rolls. Its spiral reels help keep film separated within the tank, supporting more even access for processing solutions during development. The black molded-plastic tank and lid form an enclosed environment for controlled filling, draining, and film handling.
Reusable components make HomeLab a practical choice for photographers who develop film regularly and want a dedicated, compact setup for their home darkroom.
01 / Product Features
Everything Starts with a Reliable Developing Setup
01 · Capacity
Two-Reel Film Processing
Holds up to two compatible 35mm film rolls using the included spiral reels, making it convenient to prepare multiple rolls in one processing session.
02 · Light Control
Light-Tight Tank and Lid
The enclosed tank and fitted lid are designed to protect film from ambient light during the appropriate stages of the developing process.
03 · Film Separation
Spiral Reel Design
The spiral grooves hold compatible film in separated paths, helping reduce overlap and support processing-solution circulation around the film surfaces.
04 · Construction
Durable Molded Plastics
The tank and lid use molded plastic, while the reels are made from chemical-compatible molded plastic suited to photographic processing workflows.
05 · Reusability
Cleanable Components
The tank, lid, and reels are reusable. Rinse them thoroughly after processing and allow them to dry before storage.
06 · Home Darkroom
Compact Working Footprint
The approximately 6 × 5 × 5-inch kit footprint makes it convenient to store with other film photography supplies when not in use.
02 / Materials & Construction
Purposeful Materials for Film Processing
Developing Tank — High-Impact Plastic
The main tank is constructed from black high-impact plastic. Its rigid molded body is designed for repeated handling, routine filling and draining, and use in a home darkroom. The dark body helps limit light exposure when the tank is correctly assembled with its lid.
Spiral Reels — Chemical-Compatible Molded Plastic
The two included reels are made from chemical-compatible molded plastic. Their spiral channels separate the film into an organized path, helping keep adjacent sections apart and allowing processing solutions to circulate around the film. Load the film evenly and avoid overlapping the film edges.
Tank Lid — Molded Plastic
The molded-plastic lid fits over the tank opening and is designed to help maintain a light-tight enclosure during processing. Seat the lid securely before beginning the appropriate processing steps.
Tank: Black high-impact plastic.
Reels: Chemical-compatible molded plastic.
Lid: Molded plastic.
Appearance: Black tank and lid with ivory-colored spiral reels.
Construction: Reusable molded components for home film development.

05 / How to Use
A Simple Workflow for Home Film Development
Step 01 · Prepare Your Workspace
Prepare a clean working area and the photographic chemistry required for your chosen film and development process. Keep the tank, lid, reels, and hands clean before loading the film.
Step 02 · Load the Spiral Reels
In complete darkness or inside a suitable changing bag, load the compatible 35mm film onto the spiral reels. Keep the film evenly spaced and ensure that adjacent turns do not overlap.
Step 03 · Place the Reels in the Tank
Position the loaded reels inside the tank and fit the lid securely. Before turning on the lights, make sure the tank is properly closed to protect the loaded film.
Step 04 · Process the Film
Add the appropriate processing solutions and follow the recommended chemical instructions for your film stock. Observe the specified filling, agitation, timing, rinsing, and draining procedures for your chosen process.
Step 05 · Clean and Store
After processing, remove the film carefully, then rinse the tank, lid, and reels thoroughly according to the chemistry manufacturer's instructions. Allow all components to dry before storing them together.
Care & Handling
Keep Your Developing Equipment in Good Condition
